What to look for
- It plays any provider. The player should accept Xtream Codes details or an M3U link, so changing provider never means changing app.
- It runs well on 1 GB of memory. Many Fire TV Sticks have 1 GB of RAM. A native Android app is lighter than a wrapped web page.
- A real guide. Live TV needs what's on now and next, filters by country or category, and search by show.
- Setup that does not need a remote keyboard. Typing server addresses and passwords with a D-pad is slow. Setup from a phone is better.
- Playback that recovers. A channel that drops should reconnect instead of leaving a black screen.
- No ads, and clear terms. You already pay your provider.
How Golku fits
Golku is a free IPTV player for Fire TV Sticks, Google TV and Android TV. It is a native app built for a 1 GB stick. You scan a code on the TV with your phone, sign in by email and add your line on the phone. It shows posters, ratings, cast and trailers for movies and series, a live guide, and a Sports screen that matches games to the channels on your line.
It never shows ads. Live TV, the guide, movies and series are free on every TV you own. Golku does not include channels: you bring the subscription.
Install Golku on your Fire TV Stick (type 6520065 in the Downloader app, or golku.com/apk).

Golku is built for the 1 GB Fire TV Stick and installs on current Fire TV Sticks, Cubes, Google TV and Android TV boxes.
Is Golku free?
