What you need
- A Fire TV Stick (or Android TV or Google TV) and your phone.
- The three Xtream Codes details from your provider: server address, username and password.
Steps
- On the Fire TV, install the free Downloader app from Find.
- Go to Settings, My Fire TV, Developer options, Install unknown apps and turn Downloader on. If Developer options is missing, open My Fire TV, About and click the device name seven times.
- Open Downloader, type the code 6520065 (or golku.com/apk), select Go, then Install.
- Open Golku and scan the code on the screen with your phone. Sign in with your email.
- On your phone, choose Xtream Codes and enter the server address, username and password. Golku checks the details when you save them, so you know straight away if something is wrong.
- The TV starts loading your channels as soon as you save.
If it does not load
- Check the server address includes the port if your provider gave one, for example http://example.com:8080.
- Check the username and password for typos; they are case sensitive.
- Ask your provider whether your subscription is active and whether it allows more than one screen at once.
Questions
What is an Xtream Codes line?
It is a server address, username and password that a provider gives you. A player uses them to load channels, movies, series and the guide.
Do I need to type the password on the TV remote?
No. With Golku you add the line on your phone after scanning the code on the TV.
Does Golku provide the Xtream Codes details?
No. They come from your IPTV provider. Golku is only the player.
